“Changes, Challenges and Opportunities”

Skopje, 12-14 May 2016

ICASE 2017 intends to promote exchange of ideas, experience and knowledge between scientists and engineers which interest is focused in the areas of applied sciences and engineering, as well as to encourage collaborative interdisciplinary research activities. The Congress aims to become a benchmark event by gathering academics, researchers and scholars from various countries, backgrounds and traditions who will discuss and debate on the challenges and opportunities in continuous technological development and engineering achievements.

The conference will offer ample opportunities for discussions with the plenary and keynote speakers, as well as other researchers taking part in the conference. Please engage freely in discussions, share your ideas and build relationships among the group of international researchers, while taking the time to experience and explore Macedonia.ICASE2017 is to be held in the city of Ohrid, 11-13 May 2017, nestled between high mountains up to 2,800 m and Lake Ohrid. Full Paper publications

  1. Conference proceedings

Publication of full papers will be carried out after September 2017 for selected papers of participants that have present abstract at IBU-ICASE17. All above publications will be accessible online through the website of the International Balkan University dedicated to IBU-ICSSH17 (

  1. Final paper submission process in journal Facta Universitatis, Series: Mechanical Engineering
  2. The number of papers should be between 7 and 12
  3. 50% of the papers should be from the authors from foreign countries (Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Crna Gora are not considered as foreign countries)
  4. Papers submitted to the journal should differ from the Conference papers, not just by the format, by in the content as well.

"The FU MechEng guidelines require such submissions to contain a significant amount of new material, that is, material that has not been published elsewhere. New results are desired, but not necessarily required; however, the submission should contain expansions of key ideas, examples, elaborations, etc. of the conference submission. The paper submitted to the journal should differ from the previously published material by (roughly speaking) at least 40 percent. Beside other elements, the paper needs to include a high quality overview of the previous and up-to-date work in the field by other authors as well as a clear statement on the novelty offered by the manuscript."

Topics of the Facta Universitatis, Series: Mechanical Engineering journal: Production Engineering, Thermal and Fluids Engineering, Material Engineering, Structural Design and Optimization, Thermal and Fluids Engineering, Transport and Logistics, Alternative Technology, Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering, etc.
